At 10am sharp Gabby Hewitt and Sandy Stephens from the Spainwise team took up their places at registration.

Enrolment got off to a brisk start, as teachers arrived from all over Spain and, indeed, from many different parts of the world.
Teachers had travelled from Britain, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Italy and Belgium to be at the largest and most exciting event of its kind ever held in Spain.
Once Gabby and Sandy had taken their details, Joanne Hunt and James Charnock...
gave visitors packs with information about Cordoba discount vouchers for the Spainwise shops and the all-important programmes with a map showing the layout of the fair.
Teachers visited different stands finding out about employment opportunities in different parts of Spain.
Employers explained their recruitment requirements for the forthcoming academic year.

Despite the large number of teachers visiting the fair, employers answered specific questions about their schools and schools' locations.

Teachers were able to arrange interviews for later in the day.
Julie Hetherington (El Centro de Inglés, Andújar and Bailén) gave an extremely useful workshop on Spanish Paperwork and legalities for teachers moving to Spain.
Nicola Meldrum (OxfordTEFL, Barcelona) gave an equally practical workshop on 'Starting Your Life in Spain'.
Lisa Dold (Blue Door, Cordoba) gave the final workshop on Spanish Culture.
Teachers new to Spain had a marvellous opportunity to find out all about this country of contrasts.

Participating schools conducted interviews throughout the day, from 10am to 8pm
Although interviews were necessarily short, teachers were able to discuss employment opportunities with a wide variety of employers.
By the end of the day, interviewees and interviewers were looking forward to a well-deserved rest.
